Yes they have. There might be times where they have fluctuated to extremes for a short amount of time but that has always been the prices they've been at. When I got FoW in 06 I bought most of my ectos at 7k and shards at 2.3, which was the going rate at that time. Not much has changed.

I'm pretty sure ectos were in the 10-12 range for quite awhile when retail opened up.

ament, you might want to relent on this. Ecto/shard prices have always fluctuated. True they seem to settle at 7-8k usually but I've seen them 4-5k when sc teams were in full farm mode, to 10-12k.

Ecto were most certainly at the 10K to 14K range at one time. I bought most all of mine for my FOW armor while they were at that price. They dropped swiftly when the 55hp monk farm of UW was made public knowledge and before they changed the protection bond skill.

Since late 2007 till now they have bounced from 5K to 9K as each new farming build is discovered and then nerfed.

Kuuny went for 60 ectos when ectos were 8K each. I sold one for that much before the HoM calculator and it took a whole 10 minutes to do so. Ectos are still around 8K and you can get a Kuuny for 35 to 40 ectos without even trying hard.

When I bought my first FoW set for my Warrior ecto was 15k a pop. I recall quite clearly because when I realized I only needed 9 more I said, "Screw this s**t!", zoned out of UW, and went and bought them.

Ecto in 2005 was up to 15k at one point, it even jumped to 18k here in America. Black Dye was up to 36k that day. Ah the good ol days. Monk runes being 20-70k. Sup Vigor and Abs being 100k.

Back in Prophecies days they were around 10k

Around factions time before shadow form they were around 13k with a slow decline...

Time passed they hired a 5 year old as the new skill balance guy that made shadow form the most abused skill ever.... dropped ecto to about 3k

Year or so passed....

1st shadow form nurf attempt... 3.5k

2nd shadow form nurf attempt...4.5k

Dhumm Nurf on Solo UW Farming/Speed Clearing and anticipation of SF nurf raised demand... 5.5k

Most recent shadow form buff/nurf...7-8k

Since we now have confirmation of the anniversary event, date wise, I thought it would be better posted here rather then the announcment thread. Have a good Easter ladies and gents.
